Tuco presents new light diving vessel Tuco Marine presents a brand new ProZero 12m LDV Light Diving Vessel dedicated to the diving and subsea market. The vessel complements Tuco’s range of ProZero workboats and support vessels. The boat is designed and optimized to serve as a platform for subsea operations and support of up to three divers. Diving operations include underwater inspections, investigations, constructions, repairs and maintenances of machinery and structures, and recoveries of sunken assets.Β In addition to the large driver and control cabin, the boat is equipped with a working deck and has room for up to 3 dive control stations in the cabin. The cabin protects the crew against the surrounding environment, adds comfort and provides ideal work conditions for diving control operators. Powerful light projectors on the aft deck provide ample light when operations canβt benefit from the luxury of daylight.Β The 12-meter ProZero vessel comes with double inboard diesel engines and waterjets. It can be equipped with single point lifting so that the boat can easily function as Daughter Craft for much larger dive vessels. Thus, it can serve as a mothership extension that allows precise operations closer to installations like structures or oil platforms.Β Sturdy railing and the important diver latter is mounted on the aft deck, where there also is easy access to a built-in locker for diving hoses and equipment. An A-frame helps to ensure safe diving operations and can also serve in tasks that involve cargo handling.Β The 12-meter ProZero Light Diving Vessel is designed with the further option of remote controlling. The Remote Command System allows additional types of operations and adds flexibility. It improves productivity and efficiency of certain non-diving operations because crew change can be avoided. At the same time, remote control allows operations in hazardous environments while keeping the crew/operator at a safe distance.Β All ProZero boats are based on proven hull designs and the highly flexible modular ProZero production platform, offering customers extraordinary freedom in tailored solutions.Β https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZo_fCghuQE
Another Wind Farm Service Boat
Tuco Marine Group of Denmark inks a new order for their 11m WIND FARM SERVICE BOAT from the ProZero series of Fast Rescue Boats, Daughter Crafts and Workboats.Β The new order from a major, but for now undisclosed, company in the European offshore market, is a, third in a row, sale of Tuco Marines 11m Wind Farm Service Boat, a vessel that has been designed specifically to the far offshore Wind farm market as a Daughter Craft to the SOVΒ΄s that are to enter this market during the coming seasons. The ProZero 11m WIND FARM SERVICE BOAT is a dedicated service boat and crew transfer vessel, for offshore wind farms. The boat has been developed in close collaboration with experts in Wind Farm Services and the main market charterers, who have been deeply involved in the development, to meet the latest requirements of the park operators. The 11m boat is constructed to be lifted on and off larger mother vessels using a single point David system and the ProZero 11m WIND FARM SERVICE BOAT can be outfitted with hook systems of the ownerβs choice. When designing the Wind Farm Service Boat, passenger transportation and safe cargo handling has been a high priority for Tuco Marine in the work to meet the requirements of the far offshore farms on deep waters. These farms are situated so far offshore that daily travel to and off shore is not possible and technicians are therefore accommodated on larger mother vessels (SOVΒ΄s) or on accommodation platforms. This requires stabile daughter crafts that are capable of transporting personnel and cargo, from the accommodation units to and of the turbines and all these detailed scopes and requirements have carefully been investigated by Tuco Marine and several industry partners and build in to an Operational Circle Tool of the Daughter Crafts. These tools are offered to TucoΒ΄s Wind Farm Daughter Craft Clients. The vessels are constructed from carbon fiber composites due to the industryβs focus on weight and fuel efficiency obtained by less operational power needed. Further the low weight achieved by this construction, also makes it possible to fit the fairly large daughter craft to vessels not capable of handling heavier daughter crafts. The ProZero 11m WIND FARM SERVICE BOAT offers a spacious foredeck and a purpose-build docking and fender system for easy access to the offshore windmills. The vessels feature twin water jet installation fitted to inboard diesel engines, and operate at a service speed above 22 kts, transporting 8 passengers and 500 kilos of cargo on the foredeck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtV8DyEIL1M
10.5 m Archipelago delivered to Holmestrand
The ProZero 10.5m WBW Archipelago workboat has been delivered to the Norwegian Archipelago Services. The vessel is a fast and light multipurpose workboat that features a hydraulic bow gate and a deck crane for handling cargo over the vessels side. From the flexible and unique ProZero construction the vessel is built with a flexible, hung cabin to ensure the best possible comfort in the wheelhouse. The Vessel is to enter service in Holmestrand, Norway, for the local Archipelago services and has been modified to fit the needs of this specific client. The changes required by Holmestrand were a center mounted cabin with a deck layout allowing room for full walk around the cabin. The powertrain has been changed from single propeller installation in the previous delivery to a single jet in the Holmestrand boat.Β The delivered vessel is as many of the ProZero vessels in Tuco Marines ProZero range, equipped with a flexible hung cabin, mounted on rubber shocks, to secure optimal sound dampening, and crew comfort inside the cabin. Two suspended seats, a passenger sofa, and a toilet ensure the very best traveling experience for the crew and passengers. On the aft deck of the vessel, a large heated locker is mounted, serving as a dry locker for the crewβs clothes and tools. The light workboat is equipped with a Volvo Penta D11 inboard diesel engine, capable of doing more than 25 knots when transporting crew and passengers to or from the archipelago islands, which will be the boatβs main area of use. On the foredeck the boat features a crane in starboard side, and in port side a line/trap hauler, and a side door for easy access to shore and water. The boat is further equipped with radio, radar, AIS and a VHF installation for optimal communication. βWe are really pleased with the performance of the vessel, and extremely smooth ride this vessel offers itsβ crew β says Jakob Frost, Product responsible at Tuco Marine Group. βThe sailing characteristics are excellent, just as the boat was designed for, and the low weight of the vessel ensures the low fuel use, that is always a high priority for us.β The design of the ProZero cabin ensures a huge amount of daylight, this also improves the personal comfort. A sliding door secures that access to, and from the cabin, can be done with a minimum of obstacles for the crew working on deck or walking past the cabin entrance. The ProZero series of boats has received great market feedback since the revealing of the design mid-2014 and other ProZero designs now find their way into the Norwegian Markets with recent sales of specialized Net Cleaning Boats for the Fish farming industry.
