Ørsteds demonstration of one of their ProZero USV´s at the maritime Conference Digital@Sea hosted by Danish Maritime Authority in Copenhagen Denmark. Although the USV´s from Tuco Marine ApS – ProZero Workboats are fully offshore capable vessels it was a pleasure to see this close to shore in the city of Copenhagen. The highly complex 8m long ProZero vessel features a very high level of onboard technology, the vessel is an unmanned and remotely controlled vessel and is used for testing related to the offshore wind power industry. The 8m USV is based on the well proven ProZero hull platform, built in composite materials and features a double engine installation for maximum redundancy. The vessel features specialized technology and remote-controlled deck equipment that enables the vessel to operate at sea without humans onboard for several months.

The ProZero 8m P-Top Outboard
ProZero P-Top – OUTBOARD. – The low-weight, semi-open design results in a faster workboat that has a larger operational range and extended working time on sea. The P-top features a protective P-top console solution and flexible seating arrangements which can accommodate passengers or a full cargo deck. The first new P-top in the ProZero P-Top line is the 8m-meter P-Top featuring double outboard engines, although water jet or Z-drive propulsion systems are also available. The boat is delivered in a special P-Top configuration featuring a protective full-beam console with front window and closed roofing. The sides and aft on the P-top can be closed off with canvas sides for further comfort and flexibility. Tuco has been working closely with highly experienced workboat clients to ensure that the new design, layout and functionality profile will fulfill the demands for semi-open and flexible boats in a market that is growing.
The ProZero 6m CC Workboat
The ProZero 6m CC Workboat is built on the proven, reliable and extremely seaworthy ProZero hull platform. The boat is strategically sized and carefully equipped for Workboat and Patrol operations in coastal and offshore waters. The ProZero 6m CC Workboat is a short-length successor to the ProZero 8m CC Workboat and lives up to the same high workboat standards. Power and thrust as well as good ride quality and ergonomics is key to enduring operations at sea, and the ProZero 6m CC Workboat is designed to provide just that. With its non-stepped, variable deadrise deep V-bottom hull featuring good forward entry, a flared bow, wide chines and lifting strakes/spray rails, the hull provides a safe and reliable base for safe operations and will tackle even very agitated sea states. Particular attention has been paid to crew comfort, shock mitigation and safety during operations while enhancing operational-capability and preserving structural rigidity, integrity and strength. The Center Console deck layout provides flexibility and room for a variety of operations and boarding situations. The deck layout is adjustable and can be transformed through optional built-in cargo rails into operations specific layouts with multiple seating arrangements, towing hooks, or extra cargo areas.
The ENDURUNS USV leaves our facilities in Faaborg
This week another USV left our facilities in Faaborg, Denmark. Unmanned Surface Vessel constitues a good part of our production however many of such is build under NDA´s with our clients. Here´s one we can show, the new ENDURUNS USV, developed and build in the ENDURUNS project and now shipped to ENDURUNS partner ALTUS LSA for their further work, preparing the vessel for the exciting missions of the ENDURUNS project where it, with its integrated hybrid AUV system from Graal Tech Srl will be capable of operating under deep ocean conditions and performing a wide range of missions, targeting the increase of scientific knowledge as well as industrial capability and performance. The powerbank of the USV will comprise a set of LFP batteries recharged by solar panels and a hydrogen PEM fuel cell. The ProZero 8m USV is equipped with a range of advanced features that ensure seamless integration with the ENDURUNS AUV system. It serves as a vital companion, facilitating geotagging, communication, and command transmission between the AUV and the Remote Mission Control Center (RMCC). This dynamic collaboration allows for real-time updates and mission adjustments, ensuring optimal performance and flexibility in any environment. One of the standout features of the ProZero 8m USV is its ability to connect with the AUV when needed and return to port as a single unit. This streamlined operation not only enhances efficiency but also facilitates accurate geotagging of the areas mapped or inspected by the AUV, providing invaluable data for various applications. To extend operational autonomy, the ProZero 8m ENDURUNS USV integrates a hybrid power bank comprising a hydrogen fuel cell, battery pack, and photovoltaic panels. This intelligent energy management system ensures sustained power supply even in remote deep ocean or heavy traffic environments, making the USV self-sufficient and adaptable to diverse operational requirements.
